Access to DEAS data

If you want to use the DEAS data, please use the application form

The FDZ-DZA will check whether you are eligible to receive the data, because access is permitted only in scientific and non-profit contexts. Scholars working at a university or a research institution as well as students aiming at an academic graduation (as Master, Ph. D.) can apply for usage. Should the FDZ team not be able to verify the affiliation to a scientific institution, you might be asked to supply documentation like a certificate of university enrollment. For Bachelor candidates the responsible staff member has to apply for usage of the data. To use the data in academic teaching, you have to submit your scientific use files (SUF) to some modifications, which are specified in the data distribution contract.

The FDZ-DZA will set up the data distribution contract and send it to you in duplicate by mail. As soon as we have received a signed copy of the contract, we will grant you access to the requested data. You will receive username and password to log into the protected online domain  on the FDZ website. There you will be able to review and download the datasets.

As a supplement to the survey data additional data (regional context information, job demands), is available that upon request can be analysed at a particularly protected user workstation on location of the DZA. If you are interested in using these data, please contact the FDZ team.

If you use DEAS data or documentation for your publications (including theses and reports) or presentations, we kindly request you to follow the citation rules of good scientific practice. You will find notes on how to refer to data, documentation and DOI in the appendix of your contract of usage as well as here for download.
