In the context of "Inequalities in ageing well and the significance of transitions in later life" (TRILL), critical life events are analysed in terms of their impact on well-being in old age using existing longitudinal data sets. The investigations focus in particular on the moderating influences of social inequality.
It is a collaboration between Akershus University Hospital, Norwegian Social Research (NOVA) at Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet), the National Institute of Public Health (NIPH) and three leading research institutions in the field of ageing in Europe: Aging Research Centre at Karolinska Institute (ARC), German Centre of Gerontology (DZA) and Amsterdam University Medical Center.
The project is funded by the Research Council Norway and is based at Akershus University Hospital in Norway..
