In this research project, we investigate the role of historical context for retirement adjustment. The main research questions are whether there are historical differences in retirement adjustment, whether these historical differences can be explained by cohort differences and pension reforms, and whether or not pre-existing social inequalities in retirement adjustment have increased with historical time. Analyses are based on the German Ageing Survey (DEAS) and the German Socio-Economic Panel (GSOEP).

The project „Historical differences in levels and predictors of retirement adjustment“ is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
